Who We Are
Welcome to the Mississippi State Kennel Club, Inc. (MSKC) established in 1939 by passionate dog enthusiasts. We are proud to be a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of pure bred dogs in the greater Jackson, MS area. Licensed by the American Kennel Club, we offer annual conformation shows, obedience and rally trials. MSKC became an AKC member club in June 2009. Our members are active in AKC Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Agility, Herding, Fast Cat, Scent Work, Barn Hunt, Man-Trailing, Tracking and Therapy Work. MSKC has annual awards celebrations, club fun days and monthly newsletters. Our club mentors are eager to help newcomers bond with their dog and grow as a team. Community Involvement
MSKC has representation with the government to advocate for the good of all dogs in the Jackson area.
MSKC host club fun days allowing the community to see a variety of dog handler teams in action including scent work, obedience, rally, conformation and agility. We also have dedicated members who volunteer their time to bring therapy dogs to various facilities, providing comfort and joy to patients in need.
